Boca Brace is a custom made AFO/ankle brace with articulating lower leg uprights and balanced foot orthotic plate. It has a standard 35-mm heel cup in order for maximum control of rear foot function.
The brace has an anatomic ankle axis hinge placement, as well as, a semi-rigid lower limb support and a custom-contoured footplate attachment.
The Standard, Medial Sling, Lateral Sling, and Dorsi Assist are optional features added to the braces in order to achieve a variety of ways to support and control the foot and ankle.

Boca Brace *Dorsi Assist
The Boca Brace with the Dorsi Assist piece is indicated for the stabilization of the foot and ankle with patients who show weakness in their dorsiflexor muscle of the lower leg.
Clinical Indicators:
- Drop-foot without equinus
- No spasticity
- Stable knee
- Post CVA
- Charcot Marie Tooth Disease
- Diabetic Neuropathy
- Mild Muscular Dystrophy
- Post Spinal Cord Surgery
- Can be used for patient’s body weight over 200 pounds
Clinical Contraindications of Dorsi Assist Brace:
- Unstable Knee
- Moderate to severe weakness of plantar flexors
- Spasticity of plantar flexors or invertor muscle groups
- Severe equinus
